Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation: “Registration with ‘Mahaseel’ is a Requirement for ‘Takweed Certificate’ for Exported Crops
Al-Borsa Newspaper has reviewed an official letter issued by the Export Council to exporting members, urging them to register quickly with Mahaseel before December 17th, 2020.
The Ministry of Agriculture has signed a cooperation protocol with Mahaseel to upload the coordinates of export farms to the ‘GPS’ tracking system for citrus and strawberry farms, following pomegranates as the second and third crops.
Ahmed Al-Attar, Head of the Central Agency of Plant Quarantine, explained that the protocol assigns the company the task of uploading the coordinates of citrus export farms that export to the European Union, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. The coordinates of strawberry export farms will also be uploaded as part of the new coding system that the quarantine department is currently initiating.
